Meet your PTO Board Members for the 2022-2023 school year!

This year's president is Christie Conley. This is Christie's fifth year on the board. In previous years she has served as VP of Programs and VP of Fundraising. When asked what her favorite PTO event is, Christie has a hard time choosing her favorite PTO event. She loves Winter Wonderland because it is a great excuse to shop. Her other favorite event is the Deretchin Rodeo, but she particularly enjoys running the raffle. Receiving all the Amazon boxes at her door is like having Christmas in February! Watching the kids look at the baskets and put in their tickets at lunch brings a smile to her face. They get so excited to see what all their wonderful parents have donated! Then the absolute best part is the drawing. You can hear the kids cheering for their friends in hopes that they win, and when someone they know wins a basket, the kids go wild! Seeing the joy on their faces make all the work worth it.

Vice President of Programs is Lezlie Herm, and she has been on the board for two years. She has three children at Deretchin: Sloane (6th), Lane (4th) and Eden (1st). They have all had a wonderful experience at our school so far. She will be sad to see her oldest move on next year. She has also overseen Spirit Wear for the last three years and has enjoyed getting to pick out designs and raise money for the school.  She feels we are so fortunate to have such a great school with wonderful teachers, administrators and parents who are all so dedicated and supportive.

Vice President of Membership is Kim Browning, she is married to Scott Browning, and they have two children at Deretchin: Peyton (6th) and Jackson (3rd).  She and her family have moved around for the past few years due to her husband's job but are excited to be back home and getting settled.  She has been on the board at Ride Elementary serving as the VP of fundraising and teacher appreciation, Bear Branch Elementary serving as the VP of fundraising and London ISD out of Corpus Christi serving as VP of fundraising.  She is very excited to join the Deretchin family and looks forward to meeting all our families and staff members.

Vice President of Fundraising is Tricia Danto, she is Mom to three Deretchin Dragons - Lucy in 6th grade and Abbie and Ellie, twins in 3rd grade. Before she had children, she was an auditor with Deloitte throughout the US and later worked for non-profits developing housing in Chicago. This is her first year on the PTO board and she couldn’t be more excited to work with this team of lovely women. Last year Tricia was Rodeo co-chair. The Deretchin Rodeo has so many fun things to enjoy, the cake walk, inflatables and raffle baskets.  It’s her favorite PTO event.
