2026-2027 PTO Leadership

📣 Calling All Dragons! — Join the Deretchin PTO Leadership Team
Have a little time, a lot of passion, or a special skill to share? We’re seeking dedicated parents and caregivers to fill open Executive Board positions andCommittee Chair roles for the coming school year! Serving on the PTO is a wonderful way to strengthen our school community, connect with teachers and families, and directly shape events and enrichment programs for our kids. You can learn more about our available positions here.

💵Budget Update💵

As we start 2026, I wanted to give a quick budget update.  We have brought in $157,013.99 and have spent $93,423.55 - leaving $63,590.44 in the bank. Our biggest upcoming expenses are Field Day shirts, Field Trips, TAP lunches and the Deretchin Rodeo. For more detailed budget information be sure to join us at the next PTO meeting on January 15th.

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to distribute $5,371 to our 54 support staff members as holiday gifts. This was almost $2,000 more than last year!

Winter Wonderland was a great success! Every student had the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts for their families and they had so much fun doing so!

Over 5 days we sold $20,188 worth of gifts.  Our amazing Winter Wonderland Shoppers start 12/26 and shop all year trying to get the best deals for the best items possible! We have to prepare for over 5,000 gifts for our students which is no easy feat! This past year we spent around $13,650 bringing a profit of $6,538.

Deretchin Rodeo and Silent Auction

We are less than 2 months away from my favorite event of the year - Deretchin Rodeo and Spring Carnival! If this is your first Rodeo, you are in for a treat. There are rides, carnival booths, a bake walk, raffle baskets, silent auction and so much more!

Wristbands and raffle tickets will be sold online only 2/3 - 2/26 leading up to Rodeo on 2/27. We will offer in person cash/check sales 2/25 - 2/27 during school hours and cash/credit cards at the event. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase during lunch the week of Rodeo.

Rodeo is a cash free event. Raffle tickets can be used to purchase food/beverage and for raffle baskets.  The only exception is Kona Ice.

For additional information, visit the rodeo webpage.

If you would like to join the Rodeo Committee please come to our kick off meeting directly following the PTO Meeting on 1/15 at 9:15am.
