Budget Update

As we start 2025, I wanted to give a quick budget update. We have brought in $146,046.11 and have spent $81,122.56 - leaving $64,923.55 in the bank. Our biggest upcoming expenses are Field Day shirts, Field Trips, TAP lunches and the Deretchin Rodeo. For more detailed budget information be sure to join us at the next PTO meeting on January 30th.

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to distribute $3,423 to our staff as holiday gifts.

Winter Wonderland ended up bringing in $22,138! We spent approximately $10,000 to supply the store giving us a net income of ~$12,000.

Deretchin Rodeo and Silent Auction

We are less than 2 months away from my favorite event of the year - Deretchin Rodeo and Spring Carnival! If this is your first Rodeo, you are in for a treat. There are rides, carnival booths, a bake walk, raffle baskets, silent auction and so much more!

This year, wristbands and raffle tickets will be sold online 2/4 - 2/27 leading up to Rodeo on 2/28. Then we will do in person cash/check sales 2/26 - 2/28 during school hours and cash only at the event. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase during lunch the week of Rodeo.

Spirit Night Updates

Our January Spirit Night has changed! Please join us on 1/9 at the Original Chop Shop on Kuykendahl, 3-7:30pm.

3/5 :: Chipotle, 4-8pm

4/3 :: Bruster's ice cream truck will be at Deretchin, 6-9pm

Let your voice be heard in CISD!

Did you know that CISD Board Meetings are open to the public and to public comments? If you have something that you would like for the CISD Board to hear, sign up to let your voice be heard. Also, you can watch board meetings on the district's YouTube channel. A lot that is being said by public groups right now will one day impact your children. Don't hesitate to speak up or even email our district board members with your comments or concerns.
